Iverhart Max prevents canine heartworm disease. It also treats and controls roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms. Iverhart Max requires a prescription from your veterinarian. Iverhart Max is an anthelminthic (dewormer). The ingredient pyrantel pamoate is used to treat and control roundworms and hookworms in dogs. Praziquantel is used for treating and controlling tapeworms. Studies have indicated that certain dogs of the herding breeds are more sensitive to the effects of ivermectin administered at elevated dose levels due to the MDR1 gene.

SIDE EFFECTS:
Side effects of Iverhart Max are rare but may include lethargy, limpness, salivation, shaking, diarrhea, decreased appetite, licking lips and belching.

INSTRUCTIONS

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
Administer Iverhart Max Flavored once a month on the same day of each month year round. Can be given by hand, mixed intact with a small amount of food, or placed in the back of the dog’s mouth for forced swallowing. Pay attention to dog closely following dosing to be sure the entire dose has been swallowed. If it is not completely swallowed, give one more full recommended dose as soon as possible. For dogs between 6-12 lbs, give 1 soft chew every month (Magenta). Between 12.1-25 lbs, administer 1 soft chew every month (Blue). For dogs between 25.1-50 lbs, give 1 soft chew every month (Green). Between 50.1-100 lbs, give 1 soft chew every month (Brown). For dogs over 100 lbs, administer a combination of soft chews based on pet’s weight.
