Capstar Flea Control for Dogs is an oral medication designed to eliminate fleas on dogs and cats. It starts to take effect in just half an hour. Capstar is highly effective, eliminating over 90% of adult fleas within 4 hours for dogs. However, it’s important to note that Capstar is not a preventive measure against fleas.

• Capstar kills adult fleas. Its active ingredient, nitenpyram, starts killing fleas in just 30 minutes.

The following adverse reactions have been reported in dogs after giving CAPSTAR: ethargy/depression, vomiting, itching, decreased appetite, diarrhea, hyperactivity, incoordination, trembling, seizures, panting, allergic reactions including hives, vocalization, salivation, fever, and nervousness.

Capstar can be administered as an oral flea tablet. You can either place the pill directly in your pet’s mouth or conceal it in their food. If you choose the latter option, it is important to monitor your pet closely to ensure they have swallowed the pill. In case of uncertainty, it is safe to administer a second pill.
